Drought Defense is a combination of seven (7) ingredients blended to create optimal soil and water balance.  Drought Defense is a wetting agent, soil conditioner and moisture retention product that can help hydrophobic (water-repelling) soil become more water soluable and:

How Long Will a Treatment Last?

Soil microorganisms decompose Drought Defense over a 30 day period and it should be reapplied if needed after that amount of time for best results.

Drought Defensecontains 7 proprietary ingredients that work together to create a product that is a wetting agent, soil conditioner and helps retains water at the roots.  The wetting agents reduce the surface tension of the water enabling the product to penetrate the vegetative canopy.  The soil penetrants aid in the infiltration of water through the soil surface.  The water capturing agents in Drought Defense change the physical nature of water droplets and the soils’ ability to absorb and hold water.  When applied Drought Defense moves into the soil pore spaces and adheres to soil particles. Subsequent rain and irrigation is then captured by the Drought Defense molecules and are later, when water conditions change, pulled away by the plants roots. This process continues until the eventual microbial decomposition of Drought Defense occurs.

Application methods:

  • Broadcast sprayer, hand sprayer or fertigation system.  For best results irrigate after application.

Tank mixing:

Drought Defense  is  compatible with fertilizers. Safe on all warm and cool season grasses, including golf course greens. Can be used on ornamental plants including indoor houseplants. Can be applied any time of year, except when ground is frozen.    Available in 1 gal., 2.5 gal., 55 gal. drum and 275 gal mini tote.
